Many provinces in Afghanistan see an exceptionally cold winter in every winter season , with temperatures dropping to as low as -21 degrees Celsius (-5.8 Fahrenheit) in Kabul.. Most Afghans live in remote valleys where connecting roads are often blocked by heavy snowfalls. They purchased some coal at the start of the winter, but in this [cold] weather, their supply is almost over, and they cannot afford any more.
